The library book club meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery. The current titles are on reserve at the front desk. Just ask the librarian for a copy and check it out. For more information, please call the library at 619-527-3430.

Congratulations: Summer Reading Program Update
Congratulations to all of our 2019 Summer Reading Program participants. This year, 460 out of 746 San Carlos Branch patrons who registered for the Summer Reading Program, completed their goals. This compares to 303 out of 547 in 2018. WAY TO GO! And keep on reading throughout the year. Attendance at the Wednesday Special Summer Event programs totaled 967. That's up from 768 last year. SEPTEMBER 14: Annual Friends of San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) General Membership Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) will be on Saturday, September 14, at the San Diego Central Library @ Joan ^ Irwin Jacobs Common in the Neil Morgan Auditorium. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. with a light breakfast available. The actual meeting will run from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Invitations will be mailed to chapter volunteer honorees and Life Members in mid-August. RSVPs are requested to assist with planning.
