The winner of this summer’s “Battle of the Book Series” face off between fiction & nonfiction is the Elephant & Piggie series by Mo Willems. The Annual Meeting of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) will be on Saturday, September 14, at the San Diego Central Library @ Joan ^ Irwin Jacobs Common in the Neil Morgan Auditorium. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. with a light breakfast available. The actual meeting will run from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Invitations will be mailed to chapter volunteer honorees and Life Members in mid-August. RSVPs are requested to assist with planning.
