We are so pleased that the San Carlos Branch Library could offer so much opportunity, discovery and inspiration in 2018!
We partnered with many local organizations for feature events and had great attendance at our monthly programs. This year we held our first Robotics Showcase Extravaganza which featured unique robotic creations built for competitions by local robotics teams from Dailard Elementary, Pershing Middle, Cajon Park Junior High and Patrick Henry High schools.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The 2018 General Membership meeting of SCFOL was held on Wednesday, November 14 from 4:00-5:30 p.m., in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery. This year's super fun keynote speaker was Disney Artist and Illustrator, Terry Naughton, whose award winning illustrations will be on display in our Art Gallery throughout November. 2018 has flown by and the San Carlos Friends of the Library (SCFOL) has had another busy year supporting the San Carlos Branch Library. Branch event attendance continues to increase and we look forward to news about building a larger branch facility.

The San Carlos Library remains in a hurry up and wait mode. A request for a “Case Closure” for the project was submitted to the County Department of Environmental Services by the mitigation consultant, Santec. DES reviewed the comments and has sent a request for addition information.
