Library Book Club
The library book club meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery. The current titles are on reserve at the front desk. Just ask the librarian for a copy and check it out. For more information, please call the library at 619-527-3430.

We wish to THANK everyone who has ever become a Member of the San Carlos Friends of the Library. We also express our appreciation and gratitude for those who have sent us donations in honor or memory of others. SCFOL funds are used to purchase new materials, programs, and equipment that enhance the patron experience at the current San Carlos Branch Library and that of the new proposed Branch.

It is hard to believe that my 7 years as President of SCFOL is coming to an end. It has been a pleasure to serve all of you. I am excited to have Bill Bischoff take the gavel. He will be a great President. My thanks and gratitude to all the members of the Board who have served with me.

The SCFOL Board would like to thank our San Carlos Branch Library's outstanding staff, led by Managing Librarian David Ege, for keeping the Community engaged in all that our libraries have to offer during the last 3 years of COVID. Although life may never return to pre-COVID ways, we have all learned how to move forward invoking new and better methods.

San Diego Councilmember Raul Camillo ,in his November District 7 Dispatch, announced that "The owner of the lot next to the San Carlos Library has finally notified the city that the land is ready to be purchased by the City. This means that City staff will bring forward a council action before February 2, (2023), to close escrow for the previously agreed upon price of $150,000 negotiated back in 1995. This would put the project entirely in the hands...
