Bob Plaisted was elected to the San Carlos Friends of the Library Board of Directors in July of 2024 to take over the responsibilities of Treasurer. Jerry Hotz faithfully served SCFOL as Treasurer since December 2005, following his retirement as a CPA Partner of Considine & Considine. Hotz is continuing to serve as a Board Member and Members-only Book Sale volunteer.

SCFOL Membership Chair, Kathy Ruiz, joined the San Carlos Friends of the Library in 2018, soon after her retirement from the City of San Diego. March 4, 2025, San Carlos Area Council (SCAC) President Mickey Zeichick , presented SCFOL Board Member and past Treasurer Jerry Hotz, with a check from SCAC in memory of Jack and Kitty Mones.
