Congratulations to the new SCFOL Officers and Board Members for 2016. On November 18, at the San Carlos Friends of the Library's Annual General Membership Meeting held in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery,the following SCFOL members were elected to serve on the SCFOL Board for 2016.

As I reflect back over 2015, I am both amazed and proud of the work which the Friends of the San Carlos Branch Library has accomplished.
This year, through monies raised from our monthly Used Book Sales, membership dues and donations, the San Carlos Friends of the Library were able to donate $23,000 to the Library Foundation. This donation will be matched dollar for dollar by city funds, all of which will be specifically designated for use by the San Carlos... 
Each year, the Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) hold their annual meeting of the entire membership which includes those who are members of Friends Chapters at San Diego's Branch Libraries. The agenda includes the election of the FSDPL Board for the coming year, and the recognition of outstanding volunteers from each branch. This year's meeting will be held on the ninth floor of the Downtown Central Library on Saturday, September 12, from 9:30 to 12 noon.
