SCFOL ARTIST SHOW Chair Needed
For many years, Barbara Stewart has done an amazing job as the SCFOL Artist Chair, finding fabulous local artists to fill the San Carlos Branch Library's Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery with decorative paintings, quilts, and photography. However as much as we will miss her many creative skills both as an artist and an Art Show designer, Stewart now feels it is time for her to retire and spend more time painting.

All about ART at the San Carlos Branch Library
Each month, the San Carlos Friends of the Library sponsors artists who show their works in the San Carlos Branch Library's Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery which may be entered through the double doors in the Children's area or the doors just inside the left side entrance to the library. The art takes many forms and is not limited to watercolor, oils or photography. Admission is FREE to all Art shows and Receptions.

We are excited to have Colleen Swesey exhibiting her many beautiful quilts in the San Carlos Branch Library's Winer Family Community Room and Art gallery from February 5 through March 29. Swesey does not belong to quilting or art guilds but considers herself an artist and prefers to work alone. April 2 - May 5, Katherine (Katie) Kennedy, an emerging La Mesa artist, will have her unique oil paintings on display in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery of the San Carlos Branch Library. Kennedy’s works are a visual storytelling of our everyday surroundings.
