Starting Saturday, January 9, the Saturday hours for the San Carlos Branch Library will be 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. All other days remain the same. "Beginning Monday, January 4, 2016 San Diego Public Library will have additional open hours. On November 5, from 11:00 to 2:30, we invite the San Carlos Branch Library patrons to stop by the library and bid Rita a fond farewell, while enjoying a piece of cake in her honor. Our beloved Managing Librarian, Rita Glick, will be retiring on November 6, 2015. She and her husband Bill are relocating to the mid-west to be closer to family, especially their grandchildren.

The Summer Reading Program ended on August 15. A total of 416 patrons finished and recorded their summer reading goals out of the 708, in all age groups, who signed up. Despite the inconvenience of on-going construction, 499 attended the Wednesday SRP special programs and 150 youth joined Ms. Megan in our new Process Art program which will continue during the Fall.
