This rendition of the new San Carlos Branch library is currently appearing on the sign on the corner of Golfcrest and Jackson. It was created by the Domusstudio Architects. They are the design architects for the new library. Their latest concept is similar to the one shown: a one story 25,000 sq. ft. building covering both the current and corner lots, with approximately seventy parking spaces split between the upper current lot and under the building on the corner lot. ... We are busy at the San Carlos Branch Library! Our Friends of the Library sponsored programs are becoming more and more popular. To mention a few: children’s programs such as the KIDS' SCIENCE Challenge Island are by reservation only! We had a full house for Scott Farrell, our Shakespeare First Folio speaker. Congratulations to P.H.H.S. 10th grader Victoria Crisologo who was one of the 14 Grand Prize winners of the 19th annual "Student Writing for Literacy Library Essay Contest." She was one of three local winners, out of 266 locally submitted essays, that competed against 1197 city wide entries.
