During the 2019-2020 fiscal year, July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020, SCFOL Volunteers donated 3406 hours to the San Carlos Branch Library. We thank them for all that they do.

Thank you! Library advocates made their voices heard loud and clear and let City Council know how crucial library services are to San Diego. At Tuesday's Budget Review Committee hearing of the library budget, more than 47 library advocates called in and 59 submitted online comments asking for no more cuts. Additionally, more than 170 advocates submitted emails directly to Councilmembers at LibrariesTransformSD.org.You've made a difference. Lee Ottman, was a much loved SCFOL Board Member and a past SCFOL Volunteer Chairperson. Her renowned sense of humor and ability to make us all laugh will be greatly missed. Aletha “Lee” Grace Ottman died on March 2, 2020, due to complications from pneumonia, at her home in Overland Park, KS. She will be very much missed by all who were graced with her friendship.
