2019-2020 Fiscal Year: SCFOL Volunteer Hour Total
During the 2019-2020 fiscal year, July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020, SCFOL Volunteers donated 3406 hours to the San Carlos Branch Library. We thank them for all that they do.

Lee Ottman, was a much loved SCFOL Board Member and a past SCFOL Volunteer Chairperson. Her renowned sense of humor and ability to make us all laugh will be greatly missed. Aletha “Lee” Grace Ottman died on March 2, 2020, due to complications from pneumonia, at her home in Overland Park, KS. She will be very much missed by all who were graced with her friendship. We send our condolences to her family and friends.

I thank all of you who supported SCFOL and me during 2019. I especially thank all of those who serve on SCFOL's Board of Directors and hold Committee Chair positions. All are continuing to serve in 2020.
We welcome in 2020, and thank those who shop at our 2019 Monthly Used Book Sales. The Book Sale revenue is used to purchase programs, and update our Branch's materials and equipment. SCFOL donated $20,000 to the SDPL Matching Fund in 2019. We...

The Annual Meeting of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) will be on Saturday, September 14, at the San Diego Central Library @ Joan ^ Irwin Jacobs Common in the Neil Morgan Auditorium. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. with a light breakfast available. The actual meeting will run from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Invitations will be mailed to chapter volunteer honorees and Life Members in mid-August. RSVPs are requested to assist with planning.
