March 17: Celebrating NOROUZ, the Persian New Year!
Monday, March 17,6:00-7:00 p.m., the San Carlos Branch Library is celebrating Norouz, the Persian New Year! We are excited to bring this Persian traditional celebration to the community. We will be speaking about the significance of this holiday and the cultural traditions partaken in to celebrate the beginning of Spring. The San Carlos Branch Library staff, lead by our Managing Librarian David Ege and Youth Services Librarian Erin Moore, do an outstand job of keeping patrons updated on the latest materials, activities and programs available at our branch and offered by the San Diego Public Library system. David spoke at the November 13th annual meeting of the San Carlos Friends of the Library and highlighted for those present what the major and/or unique SCBL events were in 2024. They... 
The numbers are in for the 2024 Summer Reading Program for the San Carlos Branch. We had 1190 registrations and 944 finishers. Congratulations to all. A whopping 952 youth and their families attended the 8 special summer programs offered this year at the San Carlos Branch Library. Thank you all for your attendance. See you again next year.
