SD Libraries Will Lose Funding in FY 2025-2026 San Diego Budget
Negotiations are still underway before the City of San Diego's final 2025-26 fiscal year budget is voted on June 10. It will not be finalized until signed by San Diego's Mayor Todd Gloria on June 15, 2025

March 4, 2025, San Carlos Area Council (SCAC) President Mickey Zeichick , presented SCFOL Board Member and past Treasurer Jerry Hotz, with a check from SCAC in memory of Jack and Kitty Mones. The numbers are in for the 2024 Summer Reading Program for the San Carlos Branch. We had 1190 registrations and 944 finishers. Congratulations to all. A whopping 952 youth and their families attended the 8 special summer programs offered this year at the San Carlos Branch Library. Thank you all for your attendance. See you again next year.
