The library book club meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery. The current titles are on reserve at the front desk. Just ask the librarian for a copy and check it out. For more information, please call the library at 619-527-3430.

We wish to THANK everyone who has ever become a Member of the San Carlos Friends of the Library. We also express our appreciation and gratitude for those who have sent us donations in honor or memory of others. San Carlos Branch Library had 1110 patrons register for the annual Summer Reading Program, 898 of whom met the goal of reading 10 books, reading 10 hours, or completing 10 activities to earn prizes such as museum passes and free books! (159 adults, and 739 kids) We also had 7 successful summer programs including music, art, stories, and science at the San Carlos Branch to celebrate the summer reading program. Library System Update:
Starting September 15, 2025, San Carlos Branch Library will be CLOSED on Mondays. The weekly schedule will be as follows:
Tuesday: 11:30 AM - 8 PM
Wednesday-Saturday: 9:30 AM - 6 PM
Closed Sundays and Mondays.
There are 17 branches which will remain open on Mondays. Please see the flyer below for details.
