Library Book Club
The library book club meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery. The current titles are on reserve at the front desk. Just ask the librarian for a copy and check it out. For more information, please call the library at 619-527-3430.

Have you finished reading your latest book purchase or gift? Think of SCFOL! We appreciate your gently used book donations. Please read the book donation guidelines below. Without your book donations, we would not be able to hold our Monthly First Saturday Used Book Sales, the proceeds of which are donated to the San Carlos Branch Library to purchase new books, equipment, and programs. Because of your book donations and purchases, plus the many hours annually donated by our volunteers,... 
WHERE: San Carlos Branch Library
WHEN: During the week to sort donated books and/or on the first Saturday of every month, for 2-3 hours from 9:00 am, until all of the non-purchased items are boxed up and put away. Many hands will make the job go faster.
QUALIFICATIONS: A love of libraries, books, and people. A strong back helps too. We would love to have some young people join us. We would be happy to write college letters of recommendations for teen... 
July 2-August 30, we are delighted to have Luz Shepard and Elsa Orozco Toops with their award winning and wide-ranging artistic talents decorating the walls of the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery of the San Carlos Branch Library. During September and October, we are thrilled to have the paintings of two award-winning artists,
Jo Ann Bray and Linda Morton, on display in the Winer Family Community Room and Art Gallery of the San Carlos Branch Library. Both of these artists love to travel, and their paintings will take you along with them, capturing moments in time.

From November 5-December 1, a very different art form by Mallory Green will be on display in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery of the San Carlos Branch Library. Green's works are woven together using a variety of materials to form wonderful wall hangings.
