From November 5-December 1, a very different art form by Mallory Green will be on display in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery of the San Carlos Branch Library. Green's works are woven together using a variety of materials to form wonderful wall hangings. Crafters and artists alike will enjoy meeting Mallory at her Artist Reception, Saturday, November 15, noon - 2:00 PM, to discuss her technique and how she came to be interested in this hobby.

Annually, the San Carlos Friends of the Library donates to the San Carlos Branch Library. Most of these funds, and those donated by other Friends chapters, are sent to the Library Foundation and annually matched by the City of San Diego, up to the City's budgeted amount.. This is called the City of San Diego Library Matching Fund. We welcome all SCFOL members to consider volunteering and assisting us in making our monthly USED BOOK SALES bigger and better than ever. Revenue from SCFOL book sales is the major source of funds needed to purchase books, programs and equipment for our branch library. In 2024, about 75 dedicated SCFOL Volunteers donated 4426 hours to the San Carlos Branch Library! We thank them one and all.
