Negotiations are still underway before the City of San Diego's final 2025-26 fiscal year budget is voted on June 10. It will not be finalized until signed by San Diego's Mayor Todd Gloria on June 15, 2025

The San Carlos branch Library is getting spiffed up in anticipation of its fortieth anniversary on January 9, 2014.
On September 27, preceding the Pre-school Storytime, pre-schooler Michaela Watson, did us the honor of cutting the ribbon to mark the presentation of the refurbished Children’s Area to the community. MAY 2, 2013, CONTEST UPDATE: Congratulations to the San Carlos Library’s 16th Annual City-wide Library Student Essay Contest Grand Prize Winners Caroline Beail, 4th grader at Dailard Elementary and Bailey Pinto, 10th grader at PHHS. Each received a new laptop computer from Computers 2 SD Kids, $75 from FSDPL, and mementoes presented by the San Diego City Council and FSDPL.
