The library book club meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery. The current titles are on reserve at the front desk. Just ask the librarian for a copy and check it out. For more information, please call the library at 619-527-3430.

Mayor Gloria’s Revised 2021-22 Budget Restores SDPL Hours to a 7 day week
Dear Library Advocate,
Mayor Gloria released his May Revised Budget yesterday, (May 18, 2021) and listened to Library advocates. The Mayor's new budget returns proposed cuts that would have required a five-day Library schedule in the coming fiscal year. The Revised Budget also includes new investments in funds for electronic resources, systemwide programs, Do Your Homework @ the Library Program expansion, and staff training. MARCH 13 @ 10:30: Annual Friends of San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) General Membership Meeting via ZOOM
This year, the Annual FSDPL general membership meeting will be held via ZOOM on March 13, from 10:30 - noon. Members from all SDPL Friends chapters are invited to join in the ZOOM. We need at least 50 voting members present in order to elect the 2021 FSDL Board of Directors.

SCBL 2020 Wrap-up with Managing Librarian, David Ege
The year 2020 has been interesting for all of us. We all had to change and adapt our lifestyles to find a way to manage the new normal in our lives.
