Effective SEPTEMBER 15: New SDPL Hours

Library System Update: Starting September 15, 2025, San Carlos Branch Library will be CLOSED on Mondays. The weekly schedule will be as follows: Tuesday: 11:30 AM - 8 PM Wednesday-Saturday: 9:30 AM - 6 PM Closed Sundays and Mondays.   There are 17 branches which will remain open on Mondays. New Database Available

  Have you held on to that old radio, TV, or other device but it needs some fixing in order to work properly?  If you could just find the manual you know you could fix it?! A new Database is now available online with your SDPL card. SAMS Photofacts offers schematics for small consumer electronics, including radios, TVs, stereos, and VCRs from 1946 to present. Library Cards for Digital Access

The Library is offering a new Digital Library Card. If you don't currently have a Library Card, you can now sign up for a Digital Library Card to access eLibrary resources. With a Digital Library Card you can download digital materials (such as ebooks, eaudiobooks and digital magazines), use electronic databases, take online classes, and much more. Customers may convert their digital library card into a permanent physical library card by contacting any of the Pickup Service Locations.
