SD Libraries Will Lose Funding in FY 2025-2026 San Diego Budget

Negotiations are still underway before the City of San Diego's final 2025-26 fiscal year budget is voted on June 10.  It will not be finalized until signed by San Diego's Mayor Todd Gloria on June 15, 2025 As a result of previous City Council budget meetings,  the San Diego Public Library system is scheduled to lose $8million in funding.  As of July 1, 2025, this loss of funding may result in the closing of all 37 Branch Libraries on Sunday... Junior Innovators STEM Club

Join us for fun and engaging STEM presentations and projects at the library! On the third Tuesday of the month, elementary and middle school students will work on a variety of science and math activities. This program is hosted by the Patrick Henry High School Junior Innovators Club with materials funded by SCFOL.
