The library book club meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery. The current titles are on reserve at the front desk. Just ask the librarian for a copy and check it out. For more information, please call the library at 619-527-3430.

Mail-in Ballot Drop-off at San Carlos Branch Library
The General Election is TUESDAY, November 4, 2025.
San Carlos Branch Library is an official/monitored mail-in ballot drop-off only location for your signed & completed mail-in ballot. The Drop-Box is located outside the library. Below is the Drop Box Schedule:
10/7/2025-11/4/2025 - Ballot Drop Boxes officially available for voters 24/7.
11/4/2025 - Ballot Drop Boxes available 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. All boxes to be locked at 8:00 p.m. by library staff.

Summer Reading Round-Up
San Carlos Branch Library had 1110 patrons register for the annual Summer Reading Program, 898 of whom met the goal of reading 10 books, reading 10 hours, or completing 10 activities to earn prizes such as museum passes and free books! (159 adults, and 739 kids) We also had 7 successful summer programs including music, art, stories, and science at the San Carlos Branch to celebrate the summer reading program. We need your gently used book donations and your patronage at the Used Book Sales. Revenue from the SCFOL Used Book Sales is our primary funding source, but SCFOL Memberships and your donations also add to the funds that the Friends donate to the Branch, allowing the Library to purchase new materials, equipment and programs for all age groups.
