JUNE, 2024: New Branch Library Update, FUNDING SECURED
Many, many THANKS to our SD District 7 Councilperson Raul Campillo for securing, in the City’s Fiscal-Year-2025 budget, $4.7million in funding for the new San Carlos Branch Library.
Campillo in his newsletter says, “This $4.7m, together with existing funding that I secured in years past, represents the completed funding necessary to perform design, permitting, and initial construction activities such as removal of hazardous material and contaminated soils. I’m so proud to deliver this funding for the San Carlos community, but I am also cognizant of the fact that there is much more work to be done. Together with the dedicated work of advocates like the Friends of the San Carlos Library and the Library Foundation, I will continue to work to secure the remaining funding needed to fully construct the new library.”
