The SDPL Digital Collections allows you to explore unusual and rare materials in the San Diego Public Library’s Special Collections. The purpose of the Digital Archive is to highlight and share a selection of the remarkable materials that can be found in the San Diego Public Library’s collections. Even as the library moves into the twenty-first century by offering the latest electronic services, from eBooks to instant messaging reference, we remain committed to preserving the artifacts of the past, especially those relating to San Diego history. Collections range from clay tablets to medieval manuscripts to government documents relating to the second World War.
