Robert (Bob) Plaisted, SCFOL Officer/Treasurer, 2024
Bob Plaisted was elected to the San Carlos Friends of the Library Board of Directors in July of 2024 to take over the responsibilities of Treasurer. Jerry Hotz faithfully served SCFOL as Treasurer since December 2005, following his retirement as a CPA Partner of Considine & Considine. Hotz is continuing to serve as a Board Member and Members-only Book Sale volunteer.
Robert (Bob) Plaisted is a San Diego native who grew up in Allied Gardens. He graduated from Patrick Henry High School and earned an Accounting degree and an MBA in Finance from San Diego State University. Bob is a Certified Public Accountant and has worked for companies in the real estate, software and non-profit areas.
Bob and his wife Connie have lived in San Carlos since 1991, where they raised their two sons. Bob says, “Both of us have been involved in their youth activities, including Cub Scouts, Crusaders Soccer, and Mission Trails Little League.” With the boys grown up, Bob enjoys riding his bike to the beach, hiking in Mission Trails Regional Park and, of course, reading.
Plaisted has been a member of the San Carlos Friends of the Library for over 25 years and says that he finally has found a way to contribute to the San Carlos Branch Library by doing something he really enjoys. Thank you, Bob, for stepping up to the plate, and Jerry, for your years of volunteering on the Board.
