JULY 2-31: “Where’s Odi?” Scavenger Hunt @ All Library Locations

During July, the library’s mascot, Odi the Coyote, is hiding inside every branch of the San Diego Public Library.  If you find Odi at the San Carlos Branch Library,  you can collect the button designed by 7 year old William F. Woods, a student at Green Elementary.  William was a scavenger hunt participant last year, and this year is the winner of our button design contest. William really loves art at school and enjoys Cowles Mountain a lot too, so he drew it as the background for Odi in his button’s design.

Scavenger hunt participants can look for Odi  during the entire month of July to claim a collection button at each location.  Same fun challenge, same fun prizes! Pick up your official passport at any library branch to start your adventure. The Tierrasanta Library will be closed for renovations this summer, but you can pick up their button and the Serra Mesa button at the Serra Mesa Branch.

Click Odi’s Library Day to learn more about the book’s origin and to hear it read by Mayor Todd Gloria.
