SCBL Celebrates its 50th Anniversary
Open your INVITATION to join us in celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the San Carlos Branch Library on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 1-4 pm. This is a Family Friendly event.
At 1:30, in the Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery, there will be a short program with Managing Librarian David Ege introducing Councilperson Raul Campillo, SDPL Director Misty Jones, and SCFOL President Bill Bischoff. Each give a few congratulatory remarks.
In the Community Room you will also find posters depicting the history of the current Branch, renderings of the proposed new San Carlos Branch Library, and celebratory refreshments.
In the main library kids can join in a scavenger hunt, and outside enjoy Face-painting, crafts to make, bookmarks to color, commemorative pins, and of course photo-ops with the library’s mascot ODI the Coyote!
Members of the San Carlos Friends of the Library will be there to answer your questions about the Friends and how you can volunteer to help with book sales and other events, or with the new branch’s building campaign. Click on Membership/Donation Click 50th Anniversary Celebration
