In Memory of Lesley Ann Frazier
Lesley Ann Frazier (June 3, 1941- June 11, 2023) Lesley and her husband Joe, with their children Sara and Jamie, moved from Phoenix to San Diego in 1980. An avid reader and book club member, Lesley joined SCFOL as a Charter and later as a Life-Member of the San Carlos Friends of the Library; she was our first newsletter editor from 1982-86.
Following her retirement in 1997, as the head of human resources for the City of Lemon Grove, Frazier became a frequent world traveler, a volunteer extraordinaire for the La Mesa/El Cajon chapter of AAUW, and an active Grandmother of four. Then, in 2010, Lesley was diagnosed with ovarian cancer which she tackled head on and became active in educating women as well as many medical personnel in recognizing the early signs of this terrible disease.
We will greatly miss our friend and we offer our condolences to her family.
