We are sad to report the passing of Jim Shields on September 25, 2022. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, October 15, 11:00 am, at Fletcher Hills Presbyterian Church. Jim and his family were fundamental to the organization and growth of the SCFOL Monthly Used Book Sales. He will be missed by SCFOL. Our condolences are sent to his Family and Friends.

Our 2013 Craft Fairs were such a success, that the San Carlos Friends of the Library planned another one, "JUST AROUND THE CORNER, CRAFT FAIR & BOUTIQUE," on Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 9:00-3:00 p.m. This one promises to be bigger and better than the last. Mark your calendars. The annual meeting of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library will be held on September 13, 2014, in the new San Diego Central Library ^Irwin Jacobs Common Auditorium, 330 Park Blvd, San Diego 92101 (this is at Park Blvd and 11th Ave near PETCO Park).
