November 21, 12–2 PM: Artist Reception – Scott Allen

November/December Artist: Scott Allen
Artist Reception: Saturday, November 21 • 12–2 PM
On view November 1 – December 31, Winer Family Community Room & Art Gallery

Scott Allen has always been attracted to the arts, even though his career took him in directions not often related to the fine arts, but still in the creative field of graphic design, advertising, and marketing. He owned an advertising and design studio for thirty years and then closed out his career as a Marketing Manager for a Northern California community college in Napa. His work is alive and engaging, with a vibrant use of color and brushwork. There is a complexity to the strong layers of color as he explores form, texture, and composition, always seeking to engage the viewer through a visual and emotional connection with the canvas.
