SRP: Youth Summer Events

This summer, YSL Erin Moore is mixing it up for the Summer Reading Program In-Person Events.  Family-Friendly-Events will start at 10:00 a.m., every Thursday throughout the summer months (July-August), but the show locations will alternate between the San Carlos Branch Library and the San Carlos Community Garden. Literature Comes to Life:
Thursday, July 7

Children from the audience will have a chance to act out Dog Breath by Dav Pilkey. Teacher and
children’s theater actress, Stacey Wein, provides expert direction and luxurious costumes. A fun way for kids to build confidence and oral skills!

Journey through American Music @ the Community Garden
Thursday, July 14
Outdoors at the Garden, 10:00-10:45am
Take a trip through American history with professional musician Craig Newton! You will hear popular songs from different eras on a wide variety of instruments, including the guitar, banjo, flute, drum, violin, and trombone. Great for all ages, from toddlers to seniors.

Sparkles the Clown

Clown around with Sparkles the Clown in this fun program that includes magic and bubbles!
An interactive show that ends with a few of the children inside a giant bubble.

Dance to Evolve @ the Community Garden

Come get your groove on with Dance to EvOLvE in this creative movement class with a jungle safari theme. Perform to the beats!

Comedy & Stunts with Michael Rayner

With his one-of-a-kind tricks and stunts, Michael Rayner puts on a hilarious show fit for the entire
family! His most requested tricks include balancing a wheelbarrow on his chin, spinning a cheeseburger on a parasol, and juggling various surprising objects. This show is about practice and perseverance and is guaranteed to make you laugh!
