2018 ART Show & Reception SCHEDULE

Listed receptions are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month, noon-2 pm, in the Library’s Art Gallery.  Refreshments are served.

January 8- February 1: (no reception): SewMates Quilters. Barbara Dixson, Sarah Esch, Gloria Henderson, Peggy Howe, Florence Kopf, Betty Leal, LaVera Oberle, Wanda Pasek, Jackie Renger, Barbra Shepard , Madeleine Strozier, Clairon Tade, Bobbi Tusinski, and Judy Wilson will be participating with hand crafted quilts depicting this year’s theme, “Nature and Wildlife.”

February 6 – March 1: (reception 17th): Zandy Gilmaher, oils. She will be showing her “”Dragon Series,” and “Dance of Life Series.”

March 6 – March 29: (reception 17th): Julianne Ricksecker, prints,  pastels & water color.  .Julianne is a finalist in an international art contest.  Winners will be announced February 15.  If you can, please take the time to vote for her four entries by clicking on “LIKE” next to each painting HERE.

April 10 – May 3:Maria Louisa Dominguez & Barb Stewart, multi-media.  Their works will be the subject of the San Carlos Garden Club’s, Arts Alive, A Show in Living Color

April 20 & 21: Arts Alive, A Show in Living Color: presented by the San Carlos Garden Club.  April 20, 11:00 & 1:00 p.m.: Flower arranging demonstrations.  April 21, 2:00 p.m.  special drawing.

May 8 – May 31: (reception May 19): Gerry Tietje (TG), presents, “Pens, Paints & Pixels:”   pen & ink drawings, watercolors, and photos of birds,

June 5 – July 5: (reception June 16): Ruth Benjamin, Multi-media

July 10 – Aug 2: (reception July 21): Ellen Parry, Oils

August 7 – August 30: (reception Aug 18): Our own David Ege, pen & ink drawings

September 5 – October 4: (reception 15): Kathi Vargo, Mixed medium; and Beth McClellan, paper cutouts

October 9 – November 1: (reception Oct 27): Pamela York, Photos and Tim Mountain, photos

November 6 – November 29: (reception 17): Terry Naughton is a PHHS graduate who has become a much sought after Independent Illustrator following a 17 year career as an Assistant Animator for Walt Disney Productions. Terry is known for his work on The Lion King (1994), Beauty and the Beast (1991), and Aladdin (1992). He will share with us some of his awesome illustrations.

December 4 – January  3: (reception 15):  Grace Steortz, Multi decorated Christmas Stockings for hanging on fireplace
