September 13: Annual Meeting of Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL)

Mark your calendars.  The annual meeting of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library will be held on September 13, 2014, in the new San Diego Central Library ^Irwin Jacobs Common Auditorium, 330 Park Blvd, San Diego 92101 (this is at Park Blvd and 11th Ave near PETCO Park).

The morning will begin with refreshments  and social time from 9:30-10:00 am.  The meeting will run from 10:00-12:00.  The AGENDA will include election of officers for the coming year, and the recognition of outstanding volunteers who have severed their branch libraries and Friend’s Chapters. The San Carlos Branch Chapter will be recognizing Joan Hayes, Barbara Dennis, Lynne Martens, and Lisa Glanz.

This year’s featured speaker is Superintendent San Diego Unified School District, Cindy Marten. If you haven’t toured the new library, which opened on September 28, 2013, now’s the time. Hope to see you there. Please RSVP by September 4 to the FSDPL Office at 619-542-1724.
