During the 2019-2020 fiscal year, July 1, 2019, through June 30, 2020, SCFOL Volunteers donated 3406 hours to the San Carlos Branch Library. We thank them for all that they do.
The first half of the year started off with a bang. Fifty-five active SCFOL volunteers donated 2229 hours putting together very successful SCFOL monthly Used Book Sales (SCFOL's main income source), keeping meeting, membership and financial records, scheduling and setting up monthly art exhibits, representing... 
Lee Ottman, was a much loved SCFOL Board Member and a past SCFOL Volunteer Chairperson. Her renowned sense of humor and ability to make us all laugh will be greatly missed. Aletha “Lee” Grace Ottman died on March 2, 2020, due to complications from pneumonia, at her home in Overland Park, KS. She will be very much missed by all who were graced with her friendship. We send our condolences to her family and friends.

The Annual Meeting of the Friends of the San Diego Public Library (FSDPL) will be on Saturday, September 14, at the San Diego Central Library @ Joan ^ Irwin Jacobs Common in the Neil Morgan Auditorium. Registration will open at 9:30 a.m. with a light breakfast available. The actual meeting will run from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Invitations will be mailed to chapter volunteer honorees and Life Members in mid-August. RSVPs are requested to assist with planning.
